The American giant Amazon says that it has taken a series of measures against Russia and Belarus, including the cessation of product deliveries and the broadcasting of the Prime Video service.

In the context of the war in Ukraine, Amazon announced that it has stopped delivering products to Russia and Belarus. Russian and Belarusian citizens can no longer access the Prime Video streaming service, which joins the blockade started by Netflix, according to News.ro .

Prohibitions also cover Amazon Web Services. The company no longer accepts new customers from Russia and Belarus for its cloud services.

Amazon also says it will no longer sell “New World” in Russia – the only game the company sells directly in that country.

“Unlike other technology providers, Amazon has no data centers, infrastructure or offices in Russia and does not do business with the Russian government,” the US company said in a statement.

Amazon also says it has donated $ 5 million to those affected by the war so far and continues to double the donations of its own employees, with more than 10,000 of them making donations so far.
