US aircraft maker Boeing announced on Monday that it had suspended the purchase of titanium from Russia following its invasion of Ukraine, Reuters reports.

“Our inventory and diversity of titanium sources ensure a sufficient supply for aircraft production and we will continue to take appropriate measures to ensure long-term continuity,” the company added.

Boeing has joined a long list of companies around the world that have announced that they will withdraw or suspend their investments in Russia as a result of its invasion of Ukraine and Western sanctions that have been imposed for this reason.
