Orkla Norwegians suspend operations in Russia

The Norwegians from Orkla, who produce Transylvania pâté and Tomi ketchup, stop working in Russia and say they will take care of their employees, without specifying whether they will pay the salaries of the 367 people in Russia, according to Retail.ro.

The company said it had stopped exports and imports to and from Russia and Belarus.

Orkla has three factories in Romania. One in Covasna, where canned goods, pâté, ketchup, mustard and other products for the bakery industry are produced, for the Tomi, Bulteți de la Bunica, Ardealul, LaMinut, Antrefrig or Hame Select brands. The factory in Iași, where frozen pastry products are produced, under the Linco Patisero brand, and the margarine factory in Bucharest, intended for final and industrial consumers, which makes Unirea, Linco or Accento and Selecta products.
