Philip Breedlove: Ukraine could bomb the bridge over

Chief Roscosmos threatened a former NATO commander, who said Ukraine could bomb the bridge over the Kerch Strait, which connects Russia to Crimea. The bridge over the Kerch Strait is an important strategic point that acts as a road that the citizens of Crimea and Russia cross.

US General Philip Breedlove, who was the supreme Allied commander for Europe from 2013 to 2016, said a Harpoon missile attack on the bridge over the Kerch Strait could be launched soon.

The general said an attack could be a devastating blow to the Kremlin, as it links mainland Russia to Crimea, which, according to Moscow, was incorporated into the Russian Federation in 2014.

The Kerch Bridge is a legitimate target

The general told The Times that the bridge was a “legitimate target” because of Russia’s continued aggression against Ukraine.

In his statements, “The Kerch Bridge is a legitimate target. It doesn’t surprise me at all that the Russians are concerned about the Kerch Bridge. It’s incredibly important to them. Now that the West has given Ukraine Harpoon missiles (subsonic, cruising with a range of up to 320 kilometers), I think the Russians have every reason to be worried that Ukraine could launch an attack on the bridge. ” General Phillip Breedlove told The Times, according to Express.co.uk.

In addition, “There are many leaders and former Western leaders, like me, who are now talking about what would happen if Russia started sinking Ukrainian ships with grain or if the Russian naval blockade became kinetic. There are discussions about how the West can respond if this happens.

Several people I’ve talked to say that ‘throwing’ [distrugerea] the Kerch Bridge would be a huge blow to Russia. All bridges have their weaknesses and, if targeted, could make the Kerch bridge unusable for a period of time. But if he wanted to let the bridge fall, that would require a more dedicated bombing operation.

The American general was threatened by Chief Roscosmos

For his part, Dmitry Rogozin, the head of Roscosmos, Russia’s space agency, threatened the former NATO commander, who said Ukraine could bomb the bridge over the Kerch Strait, which connects Russia to Crimea.

Rogozin told his Telegram account that Breedlove had become “a legitimate target.”

“I think that after such calls, Phil himself became a legitimate target,” wrote Dmitry Rogozin.
