Russia says that the Republic of Moldova could become the second

The Republic of Moldova took a stand, along with the increase in tensions in Europe due to the expansion of Russian troops in the separatist region of Transnistria. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova made the announcement of the day.

The Republic of Moldova did not allow Russian rotational troops from Transnistria to enter its territory

Concretely, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova did not allow Russian rotational troops from the separatist region of Transnistria to enter its territory, Daniel Vodă, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chisinau, announced on Friday.

Thus, “The rotation of the military within the Russian peacekeeping contingent is carried out according to a mechanism created to avoid risks and to ensure the coordinated movement of contingent personnel”, he said, referring to an operational group (OGRO), which is based in Transnistria.

“The officers of the so-called operational group of Russian troops – an illegal formation on the territory of our country that violates the neutrality statute – were not admitted to the territory of Moldova… in this context, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates the position of the authorities from the Republic of Moldova regarding the necessity of the unconditional resumption of the process of withdrawal of Russian troops and ammunition depots from our country”, added Daniel Vodă, according to the Ukrainian television station – Europeiska Pravda.

We remind you that, on Thursday afternoon, Vladimir Djabarov, the first vice-president of the Committee for International Relations of the Federation Council (the upper house of the Parliament in Moscow), declared that the Republic of Moldova could become the second Ukraine.

In his statements, “The transformation of the Republic of Moldova into a second Ukraine, a situation towards which its Western patrons are pushing it, pumping it with Western weapons only aggravates the problem and removes the prospects of a peaceful resolution of the conflict on the Dniester”, he declared on Thursday Vladimir Djabarov, during a round table, dedicated to Russia’s participation in the peacekeeping operation in Transnistria.

“The opening of a real second front in Transnistria will lead to a catastrophe for the entire Moldovan state”, threatened the Russian senator, given that the Chisinau Government has always advocated for a peaceful settlement of the military conflict on the Dniester.

Russia has constantly pleaded for peace in Transnistria, and the military peacekeeping force, which includes Russian soldiers, “has always been a bastion of predictability and tranquility, the guarantor of security on the left bank of the Dniester,” explained Vladimir Djabarov .

“Any attempt by irresponsible politicians from Chisinau to question this role of Russian peacekeepers, to impose a change in the format of the peacekeeping operation with the withdrawal of Russian troops from the region, will only lead to destabilization,” he added.

At the same time, he expressed his concern about the prolonged break that intervened in the negotiations in the ‘5plus2’ format (the Republic of Moldova, Transnistria, Russia, Ukraine and OSCE, plus the USA and the EU – observers).

Therefore, “The ignoring by the Moldovan side of the initiatives to resume the dialogue made by the Transnistrian leadership, unilaterally following the instructions of the collective West, put the authorities in Chisinau on the path of torpedoing the negotiations and to conditions in which their continuation is no longer possible in a constructive way”. stated Vladimir Djabarov, according to the Russian news agency TASS.
