The Russians intend to capture the Donetsk region, but they haven’t

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, stated that throughout the territory occupied by the Russians, from Kharkiv to Crimea, they have no secure base. The Russians intend to capture the Donetsk region, but they have no real chance of doing so.

In this sense, the president of Ukraine raised an alarm signal regarding the situation in Zaporozhye, he claims that it needs to be immediately demilitarized.

In his opinion, “I hope that, together with international organizations, with all our partners, we will succeed in bringing the plant back under the full control of Ukraine and forcing Russia to withdraw all its military personnel and weapons from the plant. The immediate and complete demilitarization of the plant is needed. Only Ukraine can guarantee that all processes at the Zaporozhye plant will be carried out in accordance with standards and under control. Russia simply does not need it,” Zelenskiy added.

The President of Ukraine mentioned that the special forces will ensure that the Russian army has no military base and no quiet place

According to President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, “On this day, the occupiers brutally bombarded Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and our other cities. And almost everywhere, precisely the civil infrastructure. Only one Russian bombardment on Kharkiv today took the lives of 5 people, 12 others were injured”, says the president of Ukraine in the message.

He continued by saying that “the armed forces of our country, our special services, our intelligence services are doing everything possible and impossible so that every Russian serviceman must feel the Ukrainian response to this horrible terror that Russia has brought to earth our.

Throughout the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, from Crimea to the Kharkiv region, the Russian army does not have and will not have any safe base, any quiet place. Our defenders will destroy all warehouses, headquarters of the occupiers, their equipment, wherever they are. (..) This is Ukrainian land, and the occupiers can do only two things – run away or surrender. We don’t leave them any other options”.

The President of Ukraine says that currently active hostilities are taking place almost along the entire front line, in the south, in the Kharkiv region and in the Donbass

“Today I want to especially thank the fighters of the 56th and 110th brigades, who show maximum resistance and heroism in the direction of Avdiivka. To the warriors of the 53rd and 93rd brigades, who defend the direction of Bakhmut, who defend themselves with courage, with intelligence, with heroism.

The Russian military command was instructed to capture the Donetsk region by the end of August. The end of August is already tomorrow, and the Ukrainian flag and Ukrainian heroes are in Donbas. Despite everything – despite the non-stop Russian fire, despite the efforts of the occupiers to send various mercenaries and convicts there,” says Zelenski.

The President thanked “every one of those who remain firm, who defend the positions and who precisely ‘evade’ the invaders, their equipment, logistics and ammunition”.

“Also, today I want to once again draw the attention of all our people in Crimea – please stay away from Russian military installations, stay away from Russian military bases and airfields, inform the special services of Ukraine about all the information that you know them about the occupiers, so that the liberation of Crimea will happen faster,” Zelenski also conveys.
