The United States, the United Kingdom and Australia have announced that they will

As Ukraine struggles to survive the Russian bombing, a new force is emerging worldwide. Three great powers of the world have united and seem to be stronger than ever. China, however, is becoming concerned.

Three major powers are joining forces in the face of aggression from Russia. These are the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. Thus, the three major powers announced that they want to develop hypersonic missiles within the AUKUS security partnership, according to the BBC.

In fact, the announcement was made by the government led by Boris Johnson. On Tuesday evening, the British Executive announced that the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia will launch joint projects for the development of hypersonic missiles.

In addition, the projects will take place within the AUKUS security partnership (Australia, UK, USA), launched last year and vehemently challenged by China. We note that the plan announced by the UK, the US and Australia is not a coincidence, but is a reaction to the hypersonic missiles developed by Russia and China.

The three great powers are joining forces

At the same time, the United States and Australia already have a joint program for the development of hypersonic missiles, and the United Kingdom will join the project. The London government says the program is strictly defensive.

On the other hand, the Chinese administration did not receive this news very well and warned that there is a risk of a recurrence of conflicts such as the one between Russia and Ukraine.

Shortly after the announcement came from London, Beijing warned that abstention would be more appropriate, given the current crisis.

In his warning, “Anyone who wants to avoid a re-run of the crisis in Ukraine should refrain from doing things that could draw other parts of the world into such a crisis,” the Chinese ambassador to the United Nations warned. Zhang Jun, quoted by Reuters.

In recent months, China has sharply criticized the security partnership signed by Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States (AUKUS). Specifically, Beijing has drawn attention to the risks posed by Australia’s acquisition of nuclear submarines.

China warns

In this context, in November last year, President Xi Jinping warned of the dangers of a Cold War-specific mentality in the Asia-Pacific region, amid tensions generated by the AUKUS security partnership.

Thus, “the Asia-Pacific region cannot and must not slip into the confrontations and divisions of the Cold War era,” Xi Jinping told the Associated Press in a speech on November 11, 2021, at a meeting of the Economic Cooperation Forum in the area. Asia-Pacific.

At the same time, the Chinese president warned that attempts to reconfigure regional borders according to ideological and political interests would fail, calling for the maintenance of supply chains and for continued efforts to liberalize trade and investment.

We note that the US has intensified military activities in the Asia-Pacific region, in the context of tensions with the Beijing Administration. At the same time, Washington wants to step up trade and security partnerships with Asian countries to limit Beijing’s influence.

Regarding the war in Ukraine and the state of Western sanctions, the United States has called on China to avoid providing military and financial assistance to Russia.
