Europe must cut off Russia’s “energy oxygen” and put an end to its dependence on Russian natural gas, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba (pictured) said on Thursday during a visit to Berlin, AFP reports.

“Russia’s energy needs to be cut off, and this is a very important thing for Europe,” Kuleba told a joint news conference with Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck, the economy minister.

The Ukrainian minister continued to lobby for even more severe punishment of Russian attackers from a “terrorist state”:

“Russia has shown (…) that it is not a reliable partner, and Europe cannot afford” in these conditions to continue doing business with Moscow, Kuleba denounced.
