Vladimir Putin would be interested in dominating the Black Sea –

In the future, Vladimir Putin would have big ambitions. More and more voices are saying that Ukraine is not the only target of the Kremlin leader. An announcement to this effect came recently from the Head of the Polish Seism, reports the Ukrinform agency.

Thus, Elżbieta Witek, head of the Polish Seimo (lower house of the Polish parliament – ed.), Said that Ukrainians are currently fighting for the freedom of the whole of Europe and the whole democratic world.

Ukrainians are fighting for the freedom of the whole of Europe, says Elżbieta Witek

In the context of this war, “Ukrainians are fighting not only for their freedom, but also for us Poles, for the citizens of the Baltic countries, for the freedom of the whole of Europe and the whole democratic world,” Witek said at a meeting with the people of Jarosław. from Podkarpackie Voivodeship.

In her statement, Elżbieta Witek recalled that with the participation of Poles in helping refugees in Ukraine, “nowhere in the world has anyone helped those fleeing the war in this way.”

“The Poles showed a big heart, a lot of empathy, they opened their homes…” – remarked the head of the Polish Seimo, quoted by Ukrinform.

“Vladimir Putin will not stop in Ukraine”

Moreover, Witek stressed that Poles know well what it means to lose independence, the struggle for freedom “and what its price is.”

“Therefore, we treated with great understanding the misfortune that befell the Ukrainians” – stressed Elżbieta Witek.

She added, “We cannot move away from Ukraine even for a moment,” because “Vladimir Putin will not stop in Ukraine.”

On the other hand, the Daily Beast website presents another scenario, according to which Russia’s intentions are, in fact, aimed at a critical geopolitical region: the Black Sea. That is why a law is being prepared in the US Congress to curb Russia’s attempts to control the Black Sea.

According to the American publication, some congressmen, from both political camps, are trying to curb Putin’s imperialist ambitions.

Concerns in the halls of Congress are that the United States has not done enough to discourage Russia’s aggression in the Black Sea region, so that Putin will not now try to move beyond Ukraine.

Thus, “As Putin continues his war in Ukraine, the United States must be prepared to address the immediate and long-term challenges it has posed to European and US security,” a Democratic congressman told The Daily Beast.

“This is exactly what our legislation is trying to do, analyzing a critical geopolitical region: the Black Sea,” he said.

In conclusion, Vladimir Putin wanted from the beginning to take advantage of Russia’s access to the Black Sea in order to easily pass through other sovereign nations and erase their borders. Russia invaded Georgia, which borders the Black Sea, in 2008, and annexed Crimea in 2014.
